So, I feel that at our church it should be required for children to not only not come to church when sick, but to sanitize their hands several times throughout the course of the day. It seems that as soon as my children are well enough to go to church, they have come down with something by the time Sunday comes around again. To all you parents who bring their children to church with runny noses, shame on you!! Just because it's not that bad, it doesn't mean that it won't be awful for the next person. I am nearing death at this point. Well, not quite, I am a bit dramatic, but I am very sick. They need to come up with more effective medicine for women to take when they are pregnant. Sudafed and Tylenol just don't do it for me. I love my children, I love the church, but I think the Kleenex Brand company is making too much money off of us.
I know I have promised pictures, but we have an issue with that. Our camera has been missing since Mark came back from California the first time. We have turned our house upside down looking for that dang thing. It's getting old, but that doesn't mean I don't use it. I think the camera is offended that I want to get rid of it soon and is hiding from me. Despite the camera being missing, I will post a few pictures that no one has seen yet. They are all from Christmas time, which was about three months ago, but we will get more recent pictures soon. That is my promise to you.
We celebrated Gwendolyn's first birthday on Sunday. I messed up the cake pretty bad. I was sick and got too busy and forgot to take the cake out of the pan to cool the rest of the way. When I went to take it out of the pan it was all stuck in it and falling apart. But I heated the bottom of the other one and that came out just fine. I will not say more about the disasters that came afterward to this poor, dear cake. It is just too painful for me to bring up again. I hope you will understand, haha. So, we had dinner and then opened presents. WE opened the presents because Gwendie refused to, haha. She liked the presents opened, but didn't like opening them. Then she would be all happy with one thing and we would take it away and hand her another wrapped present, which did not suit her. She was a bit grouchy during the whole thing, but all in all I think she really enjoyed it. I know her brothers enjoy the presents most of all. The "My Little Pony" and "Little People Van" are the current favorites. Gwendie is content with her old toys and the baby doll she received for her birthday. I was really sad about not being able to take pictures of all of this. We will have to stage a re-enactment for sure!!
