Remembering: Rosaline's First Birthday

Back in the olden days, Rozzy turned 1.  As we usually do with birthday festivities, we invited the party, also known as Geof and Jessie.  I hadn't finished wrapping, as it was Sunday and during this time I was nursery leader and Mark was usually working.  Those things make for full Sundays.  Geoff went to entertain the boys.

As you can see, Liam has a lot of "mommies."  He adopts any female as his mom if she is willing to give him the time of day.

Jessie can multi-task.

Geoff is incapable of saying "no" to playing swords with someone.

The Birthday Girl up close and personal.

Let the unwrapping begin!

At this age, wrapping paper proves to be the better gift.

Whenever I would tell Rozzy to smile, this is the face I would get.  Smile must also mean shock and surprise.

This is really what Barbie is good for.

Rosaline got a princess chair, Gwendolyn needs to see if it is good enough for Rozzy first.

"Smile!"

Finally, I got a real one!

And we're back to "normal."

The "Party."

Duncan's faux smile.

Gwenie insisted on a picture of the fairy Barbie.  The thing I notice different between the old and new barbies is that the old ones sat with their legs together.  Today's barbies, well, you can see.  What does that say about this generation!!

The cake,  I am no professional.

Happy Birthday Smiley!!

I love that she consistently opens her mouth like that for her smile. Cute.
